Privacy Policy
Learn how Ad Saver collects, uses, and protects your information.
Ad Saver (“Ad Saver,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides tools that help users capture, save, organize, and share publicly available advertisements from online ad libraries. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use our website, web application, Chrome extension, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy applies to users in the United States. Ad Saver is intended primarily for users in the United States and is not marketed for use outside the United States.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, you may contact us at:

1. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through:
- our website and web application;
- our Chrome browser extension;
- our backend services and APIs;
- communications you send to us relating to privacy or support.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services that you may access through or interact with separately from Ad Saver, including Auth0 by Okta and Meta's Facebook Ad Library. Those third parties maintain their own privacy policies and practices.
2. What Ad Saver Does
Ad Saver allows users to save and organize advertisements from public ad libraries. Today, Ad Saver primarily supports saving advertisements from the Facebook Ad Library through a Chrome extension and managing saved ads through a web dashboard.
Users may:
- sign in to their account;
- save ads they choose to capture;
- organize saved ads into boards and folders; and
- generate temporary share links for saved ads.
Ad Saver stores only the ads and related data a user chooses to save. We do not use the Services for advertising, marketing profiling, or cross-site tracking.
3. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
When you create or use an account, we collect information such as:
- email address;
- display name;
- profile picture URL, if provided through your authentication provider;
- account identifiers used to link your login to your Ad Saver account;
- board names, folder names, and similar organizational content you create.
Passwords are processed by our authentication provider, Auth0, and are not stored directly by Ad Saver.
B. Information Collected Through Authentication
We use Auth0 by Okta for authentication and identity management. Through Auth0, we may receive:
- your email address;
- your name or display name;
- your profile image URL, if available;
- your Auth0 user ID;
- login and account session information.
Auth0 may also collect information directly from you and from your device or browser as part of the sign-in process.
C. Advertisement Data You Choose to Save
When you use the Chrome extension or web app to save an advertisement, we collect and store the ad data needed to provide the service. This may include:
- platform name;
- platform ad ID;
- page URL where the ad was found;
- ad creative text, headline, caption, or similar content;
- landing page URL;
- advertiser page name and page ID;
- ad start and end dates, if available;
- media type, such as image, video, or carousel;
- media URLs and thumbnail URLs;
- metadata associated with the ad page;
- copies of ad images, videos, and thumbnails stored in our cloud storage after you choose to save them.
The ads we support saving are intended to be publicly available ads from public ad library sources. We do not collect private ad targeting data, audience data, ad spend data, or non-public account data from those services.
D. Automatically Collected Technical and Diagnostic Information
When you use the Services, we automatically collect certain technical information for security, debugging, and operational purposes, including:
- IP address;
- browser and user agent information;
- request and response metadata;
- request paths and methods;
- timestamps;
- response status codes;
- performance metrics such as latency and response size;
- diagnostic logs and error reports;
- page URL associated with client-side errors or logs.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, session replay tools, tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies.
E. Browser Extension-Specific Information
Our Chrome extension is designed to help users save ad content from supported ad library pages.
The extension may access limited information from supported pages in order to detect and prepare ad content for saving. We have narrowed extension permissions to the minimum needed for the current functionality we support. The extension is intended to process only ad-related data needed for the user-facing save feature.
Ad data is sent to our backend only when the user affirmatively chooses to save an ad.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not intentionally collect:
- general browsing history outside the supported ad-saving functionality;
- location or geolocation data;
- contact lists or address book data;
- financial or payment information;
- health, biometric, or genetic information;
- children's personal information;
- advertising identifiers;
- social media credentials directly, except as handled by our authentication provider;
- behavioral analytics such as scroll depth, heatmaps, or session recordings.
5. How We Collect Information
We collect information in the following ways:
- Directly from you, when you register, sign in, create boards or folders, save ads, generate share links, or contact us.
- Automatically, through server logs, client-side diagnostics, and security monitoring.
- From third parties, such as Auth0, when you authenticate.
- From public ad library sources, when you choose to save publicly available ads through the supported functionality.
6. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
- authenticate users and manage accounts;
- save, organize, store, and display ads selected by users;
- host and retrieve saved media files;
- create and manage temporary share links for saved ads;
- troubleshoot errors and diagnose service problems;
- monitor system performance, availability, and security;
- enforce our terms, policies, and legal rights;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information to:
- sell personal information;
- serve third-party advertising;
- build advertising profiles about you;
- conduct cross-context behavioral advertising;
- train AI or machine learning models.
7. Publicly Available Ad Content and Complaint Process
Ad Saver is designed to store ads from public ad libraries. Even where content is publicly available, privacy or rights concerns may still arise.
If we receive a valid complaint alleging that stored ad content or a shared ad link violates privacy rights, intellectual property rights, publicity rights, platform rules, or other applicable law, we may:
- review the complaint;
- disable or revoke the related shared link;
- restrict access to the content;
- remove the stored content where appropriate;
- request additional information from the reporting party or the user who saved the content.
To report a complaint, contact us at [INSERT PRIVACY/LEGAL EMAIL] and include enough detail for us to identify the content at issue.
8. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
A. Service Providers
We share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the Services, such as:
- Auth0 by Okta, for authentication and identity management;
- Amazon Web Services (AWS), for hosting, database storage, media storage, logging, and related infrastructure.
These service providers process information on our behalf for business purposes.
B. Public Sharing at Your Direction
If you generate a share link for a saved ad, anyone with that link may be able to view the shared ad for the time the link remains active. Shared links expire automatically after 60 days, unless revoked earlier.
Shared views are designed to avoid displaying direct account ownership details where feasible, but the shared ad content itself will be visible to anyone with the link.
C. Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information if we believe doing so is necessary to:
- comply with law, regulation, legal process, or lawful requests by public authorities;
- protect the rights, property, or safety of Ad Saver, our users, or others;
- detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues;
- enforce our agreements and policies.
D. Business Transfers
If Ad Saver is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing transaction, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
9. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
Web Application Cookies
We use essential cookies necessary to operate the Services, including authentication and session-management cookies. These cookies are used to keep you signed in, maintain session security, and support core application functionality.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
Local Storage and Extension Storage
We may use browser local storage and browser extension storage to maintain necessary application state, support authentication, and cache limited user data or preferences needed for the service to function.
This may include:
- session state;
- authentication-related tokens or token metadata;
- cached user profile data;
- cached boards or folders;
- interface preferences.
These storage mechanisms are used for operational functionality, not for advertising or analytics profiling.
10. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
In general:
- Account data is retained until account deletion or as otherwise required by law.
- Saved ads, boards, and folders are retained until you delete them or your account is deleted.
- Saved media files are retained while the corresponding saved ad remains in your account, subject to internal storage lifecycle management.
- Server logs are generally retained for approximately 30 days.
- Client diagnostic and error logs may be retained for debugging, security, and operational records for a longer period where reasonably necessary.
- Shared links expire automatically after 60 days, unless revoked sooner.
Where deletion occurs, some residual copies may remain temporarily in backups or logs for a limited period consistent with backup rotation, security needs, or legal requirements.
11. Account Deletion and Content Deletion
You may delete certain content, such as saved ads, boards, folders, and share links, through the Services.
If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify applicable account data from our systems, subject to lawful exceptions and technical limitations. Some associated data may need to be removed through our authentication provider separately where applicable.
If you want to request deletion of your account, contact us at [INSERT PRIVACY EMAIL] or use any account-deletion functionality we make available in the Services.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
These measures include, as appropriate:
- encryption in transit using HTTPS/TLS;
- encryption at rest for core cloud storage systems;
- authenticated access controls;
- role-based permissions;
- private cloud networking and infrastructure controls;
- logging and monitoring for security and troubleshooting.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.
13. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@wixsper.com.
14. California Privacy Rights
This section applies only to California residents to the extent required by applicable California law.
A. Notice of Collection
We may collect the following categories of personal information from California residents:
- identifiers, such as name, email address, account ID, IP address, and online identifiers;
- internet or network activity information, such as limited interaction data necessary to operate the service and diagnostic logs;
- commercial or transactional information relating to use of the Services, such as saved ads, boards, and folders;
- professional or employment-related information only if voluntarily included in account or ad-related content;
- audio, electronic, visual, or similar information to the extent included in saved ad media;

We collect and use these categories for the business and commercial purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

C. Sensitive Personal Information
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by California law, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about consumers.

Subject to verification and applicable exceptions, California residents may have the right to request that we:
- disclose the categories of personal information we have collected about you;
- disclose the categories of sources from which personal information is collected;

E. How to Exercise California Rights
To submit a California privacy request, contact us at:
Email: privacy@wixsper.com
Please describe your request with enough detail for us to verify and respond. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We may deny a request where permitted by law, including where we cannot verify identity or where an exception applies.
You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf where permitted by law.
15. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is not a universally accepted standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, we do not currently respond differently to such signals. We also do not use the Services for cross-context behavioral advertising.
16. Third-Party Services
Our Services may interact with or rely on third-party services, including:
- Auth0 by Okta for authentication;
- Amazon Web Services for cloud infrastructure and storage.
We may also interact with public ad library platforms as part of the user-requested functionality of saving public ads. This Privacy Policy does not govern the privacy practices of third parties, and you should review their privacy notices separately.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the “Effective Date” or “Last Updated” date above and may provide additional notice where required by law.
Your continued use of the Services after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means the updated policy will apply to your use of the Services, subject to applicable law.
